Contre Le Mur is on the hunt!

Along with rehoming art, and finding histories, this site will create a forum for folks looking for specific art or artists. Having a larger community of eyes and ears will expand your search and give you a higher chance to be reunited with your art.

Another benefit of posting here. You can also ask us to keep an eye peeled on our travels for pieces which were created by friends, relatives or a favorite small artist. What either the community or we will need is at least the following

• Name of artist

• Medium (what did the artist use most commonly)

• Location where the artist may have worked

• When was the artist active?

• And any other details that may be helpful. If you have an example of the artists work, for instance a room photo with a like piece of art, please send it along.

Here is our first group shout out:

Looking for any and all art work from Benton Thomas Lawler (BT Lawler), he worked mostly on lighthouses, boats and seascapes. Usually worked in oils on canvas or pen & ink. Most works are probably in the Mid Atlantic area, between 1965-1985.
