Fall vibes every day! A wonderful oil painting on canvas from the artist J. Medina (signed lower right). Scene is untitled of a creek surrounded by aspen trees in fall leaf. The overall gold tones are supported by the wood frame and canvas inset edging. J Medina is attributed to the Massachusetts artist Alice J Medina (1922-2005). Ms. Medina focused on landscapes both with and without buildings, she created a great deal of art, and graduated from the U Mass Swain School of Design.
Work has one spot of very small spot of paint loss which is well camouflaged with other paint. Back dust cover has been removed, pencil Tusler/Duke written in pencil, no damage seen, sawtooth hanging hardware. No glass as this is an oil painting. Frame is painted wood from Mexico, some limited and small scuffs on wood throughout frame. Inner frame has beige toned canvas insert which has no staining nor losses. Very good vintage piece. Portrait orientation.
